Refund Policy
Last updated: 7 August 2026
The whole policy in three lines
- 14 days, money back, no interrogation. First purchase of any plan (monthly or yearly): if Ember isn't right for you, tell us within 14 days and you get a full refund.
- Cancel anytime. Cancelling stops the next charge; Pro stays on until the end of what you've paid for. No cancellation fees, no retention maze.
- Billing mistakes are fixed, full stop. Double-charged, charged after cancelling, renewed when you'd forgotten a yearly plan and barely used it since — tell us, we make it right.
How to ask
Either route works, whichever is easier:
- Email [email protected] from the address on your account — a human (the founder) answers, typically within a couple of days.
- Or reply to your Paddle receipt / use the link in it — payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, and their support can start a refund directly.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Once issued on our side, banks typically take 5–10 business days to show it.
The honest edges
- Outside the 14-day window, refunds are case-by-case — we're reasonable, especially for yearly plans that went unused; we just can't promise "anytime" as policy.
- Refund abuse (buying, exporting everything, refunding, repeatedly) can mean a request is declined. This clause exists for that pattern only.
- Nothing here limits refund rights that consumer law in your country guarantees you regardless of our policy, or that Paddle's buyer terms provide.
